About the role

We are looking for a Middle/Senior Automation QA Engineer with strong backend testing skills, over 5 years of overall testing experience, 2+ years of solid Python automation, and experience working in a cross-functional product team. Knowledge of fintech is very important. Personal experience in trading, working with exchanges, or crypto wallets is a big plus.

Job description

Analyze product and technical requirements, identify edge cases and potential risks;
Design and implement automated tests for backend services and APIs using Python;
Use manual testing as part of analysis, debugging, and exploratory testing when needed;
Maintain and improve the existing Python-based automation framework;
Review automated tests written by other team members and provide feedback;
Collaborate closely with backend developers, product managers, and other QA engineers in a product team;
Contribute to improving testing approaches and tooling within the product scope.

Qualifications

You have:

Solid skills in test analysis and test design;
Strong experience in backend Python automation;
Good understanding of API testing principles and tools;
Confidence working in the Linux shell (basic scripting, log analysis, managing services);
Experience in architecting, designing, and evolving test automation frameworks.

Will be a plus:

Experience testing exchange cores, trading systems, or other high-load financial platforms, or personal experience with trading;
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps/TestOps practices;
Experience with non-functional testing (performance, reliability, stability);
Ability to read Go code;
Basic SQL skills for checking queries and reviewing migrations.
